Not worth extending this for another 24months. Better capped ADSL packages are becoming available?

Except some of us don't have and can't get ADSL. And being mobile is a plus.

I've been on the 'special' for almost 4 years now and its due to expire in next month. Speeds have gone to shyte so I'm not going to be held to ransom for another 2 years.

TM phone contract data is still good but somehow their own network has deteriorated.

So those on the end of their 2 year renewal cycle - please comment. Have anyone been contacted? Are they trying to renew or migrate existing contracts? Will this remain month to month as an option?

My previous 10gb for 199 was month to month after the the initial 2 year contract period. I'm sure the 20gb promo will be the same. But you never know with these guys.

TM called me at the end of my 10GB @ R199 contract and I renewed it for the 10+10GB @ R199 and also asked the TM guy to call my GF, who also renewed her contract to same - you could try contacting the TM rep on MYBB

Hopefully I can renew mine as well, expires at the start of Sept.
Been on it for 4 years now, and as far as I can tell anything worthwhile will be more than double the price.

I get a feeling mine is close on expiring as well. I will definitely renew. Only problem is that the speed seems to have gone for a ball of kack

Get a better router?

I've got a Huaweu HG532s and a Huawei E367 modem. What would you recommend? Preferably one which directly takes the SIM, without the need for a modem. An not one of those portable ones with batteries.

I have two SIMs. One is in one of those portable MiFi's that doubles as a power bank. The other is in my B593...and it is the shizz

Could be area dependent, mine has slow speeds from around 7pm to 9pm on weekdays, I assume its just congested then.

I was just contacted in this regard

Was told I can continue on a month to month basis @ R 199 for 10+10 but they cannot guarantee the service at the price as it is promotional and can end at anytime. No 24 month contract for the R 199 then :( :(

Instead I was offered 10gig anytime LTE with a B593 router at R 299 over 24 months.

Need some time to think about this. Any suggestions?

That does not sound too bad, I would get them to test LTE in your area first and see the speeds.

I wish a Telkom Mobile rep would contact me with this offer. I would take it immediately.

Great service from them I must say. Told the call center agent to call me back in an hour. True to her word she did.

Ended up taking the deal.

Feel sorry for her, took 12 minutes to ramble all the legal jargon to me. Super friendly with a great sense of humor!

Got a call as well. They seemed desperate to keep me on this package even if its on a month to month basis.

Whatever you don't sign another contract just keep it m2m.

The midnight surfer times is a deal breaker for me so jumping ship

I'd take the 10GB LTE for R199pm... not R299. Guess I'll stay on the 10+10 till it stops, they will contact me at some stage I guess.
