I'd take the 10GB LTE for R199pm... not R299. Guess I'll stay on the 10+10 till it stops, they will contact me at some stage I guess.

Including / Excluding the router? Including I'll jump on the 299 deal in a heartbeat!

My 10GB + 10GB contract is up for renewal at the end of the month, what options do they offer you?
Can you extend the same deal or carry on m-t-m and still get 10GB + 10GB?

This deal has been a life saver, been on it since the beginning, speeds still are great, suppose those in buitl up areas get a hit in the evening when everyone starts using like crazy :D

It goes onto month to month (that's what mine is on now). But I think I'll go replace it with a bigger package one of these days

What bigger mobile package would that be?

This 10+10gb deal is still the best value on the market by a long way

Indeed, our 10GB+10GB and the 20GB+20GB SmartBroadband works out to R19.90 per GB (the 10GB+10GB SmartBroadband costs R29.90 per GB)

30Gb+30GB is R16.6 per GB

50GB+50GB is R13.98 per GB

100GB+100GB is R9.99 per GB

I am excluding the midnight data part in the above calculations. Question though, can only businesses get it because they keep talking about "your office"?

I've been on the 10GB + 10GB package for about years now - really isn't a better deal around. Strongly considered going for the R599 uncapped LTE option, but decided I can't really justify tripling my monthly cost on internet.

Oh, it pops over on month-month once the 24 month initial contract expires.

So effectively you now have 2 promo 5 deals.

Not much of an upgrade. Everyone has routers/ dongles.

At least its month to month.

In their latest brochure (Summer) They have a Smart Broadband 10+10 "Sim Only" price (no router) but it's the same price monthly as the one that includes a R2k router. Must be an error as Sim Only should be around R100/mo cheaper.
Sim Only rate doesn't show on the website but terms and conditions says the deal is available "with or without a device".

"The SmartBroadband Wireless 10GB is a fixed wireless data package and is available with or without a device. SIM only plans are available on a month to month agreement and plans with a device are available on a 24 months contract."

Sim only is month-to-month but if you are willing to sign a 24 month contract take the new router and sell your old one.

Have you tried yours outside of the Telkom Internet area - does it roam on 3G (MTN network). I want to get the 20+20 but I travel a lot and want to take it with me using a portable router.

@rodga

correct !

if you have a lte router you can sign up for month to month for any of the deals.

If you dont have a router then you need to sign up for 24months to get the router free.
