20GB for R199?

When did the price increase and when will they be officially informing us?

I suspect they send the notification to the SIM that is in the modem/router, and some might not get it. I could be wrong, though. I did query this, and they refunded me R100, and informed me that the new price is R299, which was still reasonable for me.

My sim is in a router, but is an sms sufficient?

If I have the R299 debt order stopped what evidence will they have that I agreed to a R299 debt order, which is by law what they need to provide as proof I authorised the debit order?

Your debate should not be with me. I'm not a Telkom employee. I also had a R299 deduction, and queried it here on MyBB, and they told me that that is the new price, and they credited me with R100, and informed me that the new price would from then on be R299, and I am eligible for an upgrade to LTE and free router.

They probably could have contacted me on my cellular phone, email or office phone.

I had 2 of these promos and cancelled them both and switched over to ADSL and mobile 3g.

Best move I ever made because their billing was always suspect.

I must be really lucky because I have never had any billing issues, except this one, which was promptly resolved. The only thing that pissed me off was standing in the queue at Telkom Store for more than an hour to collect my free router :o

Hi guys, spoke to the Telkom sales guys now... Price increase for those that are on month to month like me is coming, better get ready for it. Only option is to renew at the new price of 299 for 10+10 or upgrade to 20+20 and a new LTE router for 399 for 24 months.

Did they give an indication when that would be taking place?

Are those 2 deals a special offer for us or just the normal contract rates anyone can get from Telkom mobile?

Normal rates anybody can get from telkom. I suppose it will be with the next bill run as the sales chap was not willing to go into detail on this. I did tell him that myself and a lot of us are not aware of the price increase, he said that many a user is already paying the new price and the rest will follow....

Well I suppose that's a good excuse to cancel, have ADSL at the moment, don't really need the Telkom mobile data.

I just got the uncapped let deal for about a week now. So will cancel the 10+10 soon.

Got.Debited.R100.extra.this.month. I.am.not.happy. Is.this.the.end can I let go and stop gritting my teeth?

I was billed R279 today, complained and will get that R80 back and will cancel at the end of the month.

Other option is migrate to R299/pm, only advantage is you can carry on as a month to month contract vs signing for a 24 month if you cancel and then get the same contract. The call center lady also seemed to imply the 10gb peak data was all networks data, ie roam on Mtn, after hours data only Telkom towers, anyone that can confirm that?
