Hi Everyone :)

I recently got upgraded to 10mbps, and I love it.

I see now I am able to get 40mbps/20mbps. The exchange supports it and my line should allow it.

I currently have the 10mbps Afrihost Business Account R999 a month, as well as the dsl line rental + voice portion.. R558 odd

Who is the best ISP for 20mbps VDSL? Is it worth going straight through telkom, or such?

Obviously MWEB is out after the recent fiasco...

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Afrihost's standard 20Mbps uncapped is R1397pm. I haven't seen a better price than that. If you want to torrent during office hours just use a seedbox or torrent-to-http service like Zbigz.com or Downstorm.co.za.

well I heard that the @lantic uncapped unshaped bolt on account for R59 actually works on the VDSL service from Telkom.

Could be a epic setup to get 40Mbps after hours uncapped for cheap..........

https://www.lantic.net/connectivity/adsl/uncapped-adsl/adsl-uncapped-bolt-on

Would be +-R1000 for all inclusive after hours uncapped. voice + adsl + uncapped.....

What I would do for a 40Mbps adsl line

What's wrong with MWEB, they have a state of the art online control panel !! They are on the ball, no faxes etc. unlike all the other ISPs, plus you can cancel when you like. :p and they will never black list you if you don't pay or mistakenly decide you should pay if it's their fault.

I think you should have a look at:

You think Axxess will be better than Afrihost? Afrihost has had a 20Mbps connection for a while and it's still R2 less than the new Axxess offering.

Or would they be the same seeing as how Afrihost own axxess and they are both using mtn...

I think Afriman once said they both use different shaping profiles even though they use the same backbone.

I'm aware of their relationship, but perhaps Axxess have a better record for standard uncapped. Assuming they set their own shaping policies.

Unless I'm mistaken, our VDSL pricing is still the one to beat on the market! We also offer amazing bundle deals for VDSL which will save you a small fortune, if you move your line over to us as well.

Drop me a PM if you'd like to know more and try out our VDSL offer :)
