I have just got back from our local VC DEALER I spoke about the promotion GB2+GB2 Nightowl Guess what?...They had no clue what I was talking about and said they would need to find out....I mean don't you guys send Newsletters around to your branches to inform them of what's going on?

btw is it possible to sign up yet and get it activated on 1May. The nearest Vodacom store is 50km, and I'm going there on the 28th. I would like to get the SIM card at asap at least.

Apart from the 24month contract thing, it's not half bad at all.

Have to give credit to MTN though for their OOB:
R0.19 vs R1.20

I personally wouldn't mind going a bit over my cap limit with that.

Just to ease my thoughts...If you have an existing contract i.e. just a phone contract you are not eligible for this so called promotion?

Interresting to read the article again after 7 months. This caught my eye:

According to Reichelt, Cell C has more than 1600 sites with HSPA+ transmitters and is currently conducting friendly user tests in 10 cities.

and

Ron Reddick, Chief Information Officer at Cell C, confirmed that the 1600 sites Reichelt referred to in his launch presentation were true sites, not repeaters or anything else.

But last week Cell C reported they've got 1550 sites.

Not the way I read it but OK, then; Vodacom's got a gazillion 3G sites of which 4300 are in commercial use.

Seems a bit weird to spend the Capex on a 1000 sites but not use them?

I thought it was R1499 and R2999.
