2G/3G connection

I'm unable to connect and there is a tower nearbye. If I give the name of the tower will you be able to advise if there is a malfunction?
 
I also used to be able to connect and for more than a month I am struggling to connect. The service of Vodacom has for me deteriorated to a level of total unacceptability. Even when you log a fault, nothing is done and I am still waiting for Vodacom to wake up. My 2 G bundle is hardly used and will expire in one week!.

I put an MTN sim in my Vodacom HSPDA card and put it in the router. I was surpised to pick up HSPDA and have now used more than 3G on MTN. The experience is very good as my results on speedtest.net show faster international connection than I ever had on Vodacom and the local sites more or less the same as Vodacom. I am running constantly on 1300KB/s down and 300KB/s up on MTN. On the MTN map I am not even covered, yet on Vodacom I am.

Come on Vodacom, wake up - I am paying a lot of money for nothing and will soon have to evoke a termination clause in my contract because of Vodacom's failure to provide a service. You can only hold me to a 2 year contract if you can provide service.

Same story here. And the problem seems to have occurred ever since I bought a 2gig bundle this month. I usually only buy 1gig!
