2GIG+1GIG Purchase Problem

Today I tried to purchase the 2GIG+1 via the dashboard and also cellphone and the option to purchase it has "vanished".So i called call centre to find out if the promo has been discontinued and was informed that there are technical problems which are affecting everyone and should be sorted by end of today.I'd like to find out if i'm the only one with the problem.I've been having headache's with 8ta service lately and i'm thinking of jumping ship after this recharge.
 
And go where?

MOFAYA R499 20GIG.Hell this 2GIG+1GIG is also a special so maybe my move will be temporary till end Feb 2012 but I sure as hell will bet that a mature Vodacom network does not have recharge issues.I pray i'm moving to 3 months of bliss with 20GIG to sweeten it.
 
i tried to buy it now also with exactly the same problem. was also told its a technical problem.

Wonder if i should trust them re:my earlier issues http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...harge-Issues?p=7100304&highlight=#post7100304 which was resolved a week later.But then it's too late now as i've already purchased the airtime to buy excatly what they won't allow me to buy.The last time it was technical problems,wonder if we should let it go as teething problems?
 
I lost hope in 8.ta. Its been weeks and my balance reads (-R2.85) and my data bundle which was once - xxx amount has been gone like it never was loaded.

They took my R150 and never gave it back! The same will happen to you guys after you re-loaded data bundles. Email them, contact them...it useless! I gave up...I would burn that sim if it wasnt rica-ed. 8.ta IS A WASTE OF MY MONEY!

I rather pay Vodacom whatever amount and get service than this Rubbish network

Mine was sitting at -R28 recently and decided that was it and cut up my sim using a pair of scissors, proudly using the Vodacom 20GB special. Customer service sucks! The 8ta rep is clueless, only thing he writes is send a mail to 8ta at social and no response is provided.
 
Got mine, on Wednesday, still havent got connected..

This is insane. Certainly not selling me on the idea of using any of their other services.
 
Looks like i was one of the lucky ones. Walked into the Telkom Direct Store in Midrand, got my pre-paid Micro Sim. re-charged with R149. Called the 081 183 number, provisioned my sim for data. Used the cellphone (worked on my BB before i "punched" out the Micro Sim) to convert the airtime to the 2+1GB offer. Tested on my IPAD when i got home and it worked first time.

Going now to get a vodacom micro-sim.

8ta - you've seen the last R150 bucks from me and all my colleagues, mates and family. I thought I'd give them a try - but I haven't had good service at all. One or two of their call centre staff seem helpfull, the rest are clueless and not very helpful.

I was with this network from day 1...its sad just so sad
 
Just did another follow up call - will take another 2-3 working days for them just to investigate.

8ta - FTL

Scratch that - it takes 2 weeks for them to investigate.

I thought I'd try get my money back, was on the phone with the call centre for 30 minutes until I had to go somewhere, and the call got dropped when I moved off an 8ta to an MTN tower.

If they had "wow"ed me with their service I might have considered changing all our contracts over - but they will not see another dime from me.
