Question - if my 1Mbps modem is getting 512kbps due to weak signal, will that equate to 1Mbps once we get that much vaunted 2Mbps ?

Interesting so the question is if the modem is already available and I assume that it is being used in other countries, do we know what Iburst SA's plans are to roll this out ? I mean are we talking 6 months or 2 years.. that would be the deciding factor I would guess....

Interesting question one would assume so if a half signal equates to half the speed then yes but i dont think it is entirely liniar, next question is, is the network already capable of doing 2meg or will it be like 3g where only some folk get it...
LOL I was wondering exactly the same thing... get one from china or wherever lol... no garuntees though and somehow iburst locks modems to accounts.
A friend of mine was with iburst moved to neotel, and I cannot connect with my account on his modem....
