2meg Connection

Last I heard was last year that they were testing the modems.

I also heard something along those lines but could find no info on it... i heard the newer modems (black ones) can support up to 4mbs but cant find anything about it...

Depends what you going to use it for, 3G is not that good if you rely on stable good latencies.

I actually get pretty good latency on iburst for wow and sto and those kind of games... mabey its just because i have good coverage...

I get demn good latency on iBurst with WoW , lotro, sto and Ventrillo :)

2 Mb/s is in the pipeline.

I don't care if a 10Mbps modem is in the pipeline, I'm not forking out R3000 or more for another modem.

First fix your customer service, helpdesk, billing and then we can talk speed...

I'm AGAINST paying for new modem, but AGREE to exchange old for new one.

What's the point? The faster your download speed the quicker your cap gets used. If the speeds increase the caps will have to increase and iburst are never going to increase caps. Iburst will ride that gravey train.

Point that is if you have 3 people at home network, who do:
* Surfing
* Downloading
* Skype (with video)
* Gaming
(It is done simultaneously)

The latter will suffer due to resources taken by former three.
