Do any of you HD PVR users experience reboots. I would say it's pretty random, mostly happens when watching recorded stuff. But I would say watching normal DSTV at least twice a day.

It's driving me INSANE

@ Pitbull ... refer to the forum at dstv.com .. there's a recent post about the same issue. I guess you could try a reformat of the HDD in the HD-PVR? As a start, it may be worth following this thread ... (but it was started back in May, and MCA has not followed it up further :( Maybe resuscitate it or start a new thread and keep nagging MC ?)

Another unhappy MC customer stated there:
However, this last week my HD decoder has decided to reboot itself. This happens mostly whilst I am watching a recording, but also during normal live viewing

I'm getting fed-up with these bloody decoders. I will now have to drive to Randburg again, sit with a clown for 1 hour and then he says "We'll have to exchange it" just to give me another one full of bugs.

I would love to take these bloody decoders and stick it right up someone's arse. Seriously, I bought the first decoder in February, it's not even 5 months and I need a 3rd one now?

And btw, this is a UEC decoder. The silver one.

...sit with a clown for 1 hour ...

If only they were clowns, at least we could have a laugh. But they are merely incompetent fools.
I have the older PACE HD-PVR ... and my "personalised" settings keep reverting to those which Multichoice seems to insist I must have, e.g. English - Family. I constantly (each viewing session) have to change the setting to English - Original.
MCA may be a protector of public morals, but competent in digital television broadcasting they are NOT!
