2TB Anytime data

Ok so some interesting info on the 2TB deal. The prior uncapped deal was locked to the 4G only network.

It would not work on the 3G network at all.

Guess what the 2TB deal works on the 3G network. So... anyone got a 5G router/phone to test the 2TB deal on?

Or is there no Telkom 5G yet?

Hmm

Via AP usable speeds of 21mbps.

Via B618 great speeds of 124mbps

But puzzled why AP not delivering better speeds? Its an AC750 router as AP and cat5e cable via a Gigabit port.

Edit used tp get 30 plus speeds in bedroom.

I think its cause its still over WIFI (APs are iffy) - Ill quickly post my meshed 5ghz speed via tp link vs gigabit connection straight to router for the desktop

Desktop - via gigabit lan

Cellphone - via TPlink mesh

These work a treat with the Huawei router

Entire home is meshed and super easy to add another MESH point

This is a cheaper starter pack if you wanna start smaller

Thanks. Will check it out.

I have an Asus CD6 triple pack mesh system for my fibre.

Hitting 90mbps in bedroom with fibre wifi.

Will try the mesh but previously 30mbps was the norm via LTE AP.

Now my wife uses the fibre for netflix rather.

I have our netflix connected via gigabit lan too, everything that needs top speed is wired. Only cellphones and ipads on wifi.

Oh and solar/sonoffs on wifi too

How do you plan to do this / managed it?
I'm in the same scenario, but fear that Telkom will not do the upgrade on the existing month to month (1tb)?
+1 for Telkom and the staff member that helped me in-store.

It was a painless transition from the old 1tb m2m to the 2tb m2m. Got my invoice this morning and all checks out and I'm happy to report no issues.

R99 for a new sim and used the 2tb deal for the remainder of April "for free".
All this while my old 1tb sim was moved to a pre-paid sim with all the remaining data transferred.

Final kicker is that I still have 1tb roll-over for May.

Gotta love it when things just work!

Also had a great experience. Barring the last three week 4p to 11pm speeds issue which seems resolve we in for great times ahead

Great. I do have an Xpol. Will just need to get the Sma to Ts9 connectors.
Im no where near those speeds! Thats excellent.
Thanks, I will probably take the router.
Sweet! Just go over the last few pages you can see my speed tests ignore the poor ones they were 4pm to 11pm which has been resolved.

You can buy the adapter at geewiz

That's an amazing price!

Hi Guys.
Is it worth the upgrade going from a B525 65a to the B618 65d?
I can get 4 year old 65d at R800.00. Fair price?
Where you finding this (i wont poach it). Been looking for a 65d for a while. The well priced ones get taken before i see them

Got from Geewiz. Buy the 2 pack for R177 (just 2 single ones but cheaper). Cheaper than buying 2 individual ones.
