This thread really has me convinced that Telkom LTE is the way to go, just a question on if there is a speed reduction if there are have multiple devices connected that are downloading or streaming, and upto how many connected devices does it take to really cause a drop in the connection.

It's quite resilient if you have 4G+/CA. I've got 5-6 PC's on at any time, a few phones and devices and I've only had noticeably higher latency once due to a full speed download on another PC. If you're coming from a provider like Rain, it feels world class.

So I left my router on auto, and i noticed now its connected to band 3 and 20 :/ Never seen this before

Occasionally I receive the following sms:
"Internet access paused. Either your data bundle is depleted or you're not in Telkom's coverage and using a Telkom only bundle. Dial *180# or open your browser."

It's definitely not due to the bundle being depleted. Any idea why this happens?

@Crusader This is a known issue. Whenever your device tries to connect to a roaming Cell/Tower, this comes up.

Temporary solution:
Access the USSD *180# and look for the roaming option, turn that off* .The messages should then stop coming through.

*I don't recommend doing this for anyone using their sim for voice due to the fact if the tower is down, you won't roam. One cannot change the setting unless there is signal. Onc can plan around load shedding but otherwise it's not so simple.

You welcome :D :notworthy:  .

Might try that if issue persists. This rarely happens, but looks like the time coincided with the weekly automatic reboot.
