2TB Anytime data

Why on earth would anyone go with any of these 12, 24 or 36 month contracts?

Nowhere can I find the month-to-month option on Telkom's site. If you want to get the deal, rather just get it through Afrihost or Axxess, etc. Much easier.

All Telkom LTE packages are month to month(Well Kinda) after 3 months of usage. You can cancel anytime after that. Doesnt matter if it's a 12,24 or 36 month contract.

So my 2TB package just works. I get ok speeds and it is never ever down. Even stage what what LS. Always up.
Before this, I was using MTN LTE from AH. Horrible experience.

Now I see I have Pure 5G coverage with AH which is MTN. I am thinking of getting the unlimited package.
But I need a 5G router to test a pre-paid sim first before I go ahead and order from AH.

Not sure if I should go this route.

Better the devil you know.... and that works?

Mmm haven't had issues for what seems like forever but second evening around midnight that 4g goes missing. Can't seem to fail over to 3g either unless I'm using wrong profile?

You are not alone. I experienced the same. Very strange

Are you experiencing random 4G disconnects. Connecting to 3G for a second. Then back to 4G? Been experiencing this since yesterday.

I see they are finally busy installing fibre infrastructure in town. Looks like we might be able to get fibre in a month or two. Will have to decide if I'd want to switch once it becomes available.

Today I sadly put my cancellation notice in on my 2tb sim...
It served me well over the last 14 months.

My fibre was installed last week and is stable enough for me to let this gem go.

Through LS, thunderstorms, rain and scorching heat this LTE just worked regardless.

Sidenote: My Mikrotik LTE6 high gain router is up for sale

What sort of speeds were you getting on the 2TB sim?
