3.3.3 patch notes

2nd base ... :D

Speaking of which, I need new professions ... Mining and skinning prices are laughable now.

10g for a stack of Borean Leather,
40g for Arctic fur,
20g for a stack of Saronite ore
100g for Titansteel
20g for a stack of cobalt ore

FML.
Seems JC's are the guys making coin with 220g per epic cut.

Its ganna be more useless (mining) with the new patch with no titansteel cd.

They made enchanting useless with the new DE option so dont choose that as a profession either.

JC or inscription are the money makers now... with a bit of alchemy :D Perhaps herbalism and inscription of alchemy.

sell all your titansteel next patch they will be worth nothing, no cd and u can buy eternal fire with frozen orbs :P

i only sell frost wyrm flasks that i herb on my druid, because they can herb in flight form so it goes pretty fast(like 1k or so a day, depend how much i procced ). i dont make allot of money but over time i did have 30k to spend on my shadows edge :P

Blame the miners for that. We don't make 220g per cut.

I buy gems off the AH and add 20-30g profit depending on the gem. Titanium ore costs 250g on my server and I'd be lucky to get 1 epic gems per stack worth about 130-200g prospecting it, so I don't bother much since my profit margins are very low and unstable.

Though, fortunately I have an alchemist too, so I make 180-200g per day using a transmute CD and cut it with my JC.

But making gold is easy; 25g for a random hc and raids can also be profitable as long as you don't wipe much (ToGC takes 45min for a good run). If you want to make lots of gold, go farm old content stuff.

Combine your transmute with a cut and you can make 200G+ for it
Depends on what gem you transmute.
Eternal Fires cost 80g-90g on my server, so its best to farm these. But then you realise that farming in Wintergrasp is a pain since you have to wait till your faction has it and then everyone hordes that charred area. I find I make better profit per time spent farming Eternal Life and cutting yellow gems at 180g than red ones at 200g.

i make the yellow gem, cost me 11g normally for the gem needed and eternal life i get free from herbing then i normally sell for 180g+

Copycat :p.

I also make the same gem usually. Eternal Life's are also easy to harvest in WG if you your faction controls it. There are elementals that drop them at the south-western corner of WG.

For me, cardinal rubies sells for the most gold. Problem is that the miners know this as well, so they hike the price of scarlet rubies, so you don't make as much profit. All of the other epic uncut gems seems to sell for around the same price.

Yeah, I also find it is more cost effective to transmute yellows instead of reds. On my server, the blue gem costs about 40gold and the Eternal Fire price varies between 40 and 60 gold. My Alchemist is Elixir Master and I am finding that the procs are so random it's not really worth it. I will definitely be going Transmute spec in the expansion.

Farming eternal fires in WG isn't really good. A lot of people tend to farm them.

There is a cave in Storm Peaks that can also be farmed for them though. I can't remember the exact name of it, but it was east of Terrace of the makers, but west of Thunderfall. There were some sort of Taunka spirits there as well, so I think it had to do with some Horde quests. Fast respawn on the mobs and they seem to aggro from a long range at times, which can catch you by surprise.

I always farm in that cave in tank spec. Run in and round the whole cave up. :) makes me about a stack of 10 eternal fire in roughly an hours farming. Sometimes more. I get a lot of farming bots there though, but the gm's respond very quickly at least.

I have 3 alchemists at the moment. One is elixir master and the other two are transmute masters. That coupled with my JC = win.

Hmmm.. I guess I should of been more specific as to which classes have what professions.

What I've been doing to make gold is farming frost badges to sell primordial saronite.

My professions are as follows (All maxed except Inscription) :

JC | Mining - DK 80
BS | Mining - Warrior 80
Herbs | Alchemy (Transmute spec) - Paladin 72
Enchanting | Inscription. - Druid 80

I also have a Rogue which is level 62 without any professions. I am thinking of taking Alchemy (elixir spec) and something else.. Dunno what else? Any suggestions?

I'm thinking of dropping one of the miners (since titansteel will no longer have a cooldown) to level another alchemist and spec it transmute as well. So far I haven't had any epic gem procs :(.

Also how viable is it to max Inscription?

I have the following across my chars at the moment

JC | Herbalism - Druid
Inscription | Alchemy (Elixir master) - Warlock
Mining | Alchemy (Transmute master) - DK
Skinning | Leatherworking - Hunter
Tailoring | Enchanting - Priest
Skinning | Alchemy (Transmute master) Shaman, only level 69 now

Making darkmoon cards with inscription brings in quite a bit of gold but the constant flow comes from the transmute/cutting of gems. ~600g a day guaranteed with more if a transmute procs.

I wanna switch my herbalist and scribe around but it seems too much effort for being able to farm herbs in flight form :(

Also updated my other post for more clarity.

Being able to herb in flight form is worth it. No wasting time or getting your herbs stolen while you are fighting mobs . Aggro a mob while herbing and just fly up till he goes away a bit.

The only problem I have especially now with 310% flight form is my connection that sometimes takes too long to update the herbs on the map.

What times do you guys find are the best times to post glyphs on the auction house?

I've deposited all the glyphs I made into the guild bank. I only make glyphs for my alts and the rest of the time I only use inscription for darkmoon cards. Just seems like too much work for a little gold.

Inscription does not make gold at all, or at least great sums of it.
