Hey guys, I hope this is in the correct section.
Can anyone make any suggestions for a TV that can double as an okay PC monitor without a lot of pixellation?
I've got a friend who told me about specific "chipset" and "tuners" or some such on board devices that
make the difference between having crisp clear text and graphics on his 40" Samsung, as opposed to others
who were apparently less than satisfactory.
I am looking for a 32" that can do full HD, if that is possible, but that can also double as a pc monitor, not that I intend to really play games on it, but I actually want to connect it up with my system to stream / watch movies etc.
We have limited space in the "cupboard" that the TV must go into, something like 80cm across (say 78cm), I think a 32" should fit, a 40" possibly with a thin bezel or moved forward slightly.
If you can't figure out from my post, I am a complete noob where this is concerned, I don't really watch TV (in actual fact until a month ago I didn't even live in a place where there was a TV.) so your help would be appreciated.
My budget for the TV is around R4500 - R5000 max.
Oh, and if there is such a thing as a TV monitor without a TV tuner (but with the "pixel" size like a TV), I would truly appreciate it as I actually don't want to buy a TV license. I have no interest in watching the crud the SABC and e-TV peddles, honestly.
Thanks for your help guys!
