360 hard drive.

The same goes for a Wii, the same for the PS3: you can't play The Eye of Judgment without Playstation Eye, you can't play Dance Dance Revolution without a mat! However, you can still play most games without additional peripherals.
Yeah but those games are made for those peripherals. You are saying that both companies can sell the console without a controller?

Not quite. In this instance for 95% of gameplay the XBox 360 doesn't need a HDD, but they do need a controller. As for these peripherals, 95% of the games on the PS3 don't require them, but they do need a controller. So, in the XBox 360 case the HDD is more of a peripheral than mandatory.

My answer was more related to the following post:

I am glad we agree on one point:

That the HDD is used to enhance the gaming experience in most xbox games & that if the owner wants to experience that part of the game, Arcade owners will need to invest in the HDD. We can say that the Arcade delivers the "basic" gaming experience to the user. :)

Well is that MS's fault, must they put a huge sign above every arcade stating no hdd included, of course its no different to sony pretending that blu ray is a necessity for gaming and user gullible idiots to punt their new disc format

Using that cell again? BluRay IS required for PS3 gaming. Not even one game came out on DVD for the PS3 as yet. :p Even the planned WII for 2010 will have BluRAy that decission is surely not done for no reason. I smell a high capacity DVD drive for the eXBOX soon, Maybe the Chinese version of the Blu!

So did you get your wireless N adaptor yet, thought so :p

You guys said MS sell Arcades to uninformed users that don't know much, and it limits what they can actually do with the console when they bring it home

I'm saying Sony sold the PS3 to him and neglected to mention he needs an HDTV and 8 channel sound. He didn't know - and was disappointed.

What an idiotic comment, You do not need a HDTV but you may need a HD capable LCD or a multichannel surround sound system if you want to enjoy the extras a PS3 offers in the ALL inclusive package to the fullest extend, to a standard the most expensive eXbox are not able to match at all!

I have quite a bit of DLC on it, and with lots of games there are a lot of save games

And that my boy are the crux of the matter, consumers buy the eXbox and when they want to do such basic stuff they find it cannot do it, so they end up frustrated like this!

Where the hell do we buy these things? I bought an arcade unit. Put some saves and the dash update on the 256 memory unit, now the dash wont update any more, complaining about disk space.

Zaps should have in stock

ag fsk, no way im paying R1k for a 120 gig hdd, can easily pick up a terra for that much ffs.

Point in case! Multiply that by millions of people that were suckered into the same situation! Yet you keep on harping/defending the issue. ;)

um your the 360 can save games, all arcades have a 256mb memory card, please explain why it cant save games (i know you wont explain because there's just not enough grey matter)

Its required because Sony forced it as standard, can you not even understand kindergarten concepts, btw, i like how you come on late at night and leave your malema comments and disappear as soon as you're proven to be just that, an unevolved malema

Go read the OP's post again! Seems to me the grey matter is absent in your case.

No wait, thats to far back for your cell capacity. Here!

I rather think you are closer related to malema. Your inconsistent one liners is prove of that.

Thanks for the replies guys, and the debate, and the trolling, and the fighting, and the blood, sweat, and tears that comes from religiously defending a plastic product on a shelf, very honorable stuff!!

So just buy the PS3 already? TSK, TSK.

Tut tut, think before you type!

So IAP is under the impression that R3000 will buy him KZ2 and a PS3! Damn, did your PS3 "fall off a truck"?

Read the whole thread before you make an ass of yourself commenting.

Equally so, I was sad when I had my Xbox and tried playing a game that was marked 480p on my old 74cm TV and found that I couldn't see the icons on the map :( The game was Burnout : Paradise City btw
