384kbps users upgraded to 1mbps on install

Are there any other 384kb users that were automatically put on the 1mbps circuit speed when their ADSL line was installed?

Mine was installed early march and I was automatically bumped up, but I was put on the 384kb profile again after my port was reset

If this is the case and the line rental is the same its a great thing. We about 1/3 of the way to International broadband.

Back in the day when I subscribed for 192k DSL, i actually got the 384k profile for a month. After that it went back to 192k.

Am using 4096K now

This happened to me. Before I activated/verified my ADSL account with Telkom, I was syncing at 1mbit. After verfication, the port reset and went down to 384kbit.

Call your ISP and tell them what happened. They might just bump you up again
