3D Flat Screen TVs

Japan's big name electronic manufacturers are readying flat-screen TVs that can show high-definition movies and video games in 3D for launch next year.

I remember buying TV's about 10 years ago. YOu had the option of 37cm, 52cm and 72cm - black/white or colour. It was like that for 15 years before that too.

Now I'm actually too scared to buy into a technology, as it'll be obsolete with a year or so :/

lol, yeah, it is getting ridiculous... back then people bought a tv to last them years and years... Now, people buy tv's to last them a year :p, and what's worse is the fact that people have to work later hours to afford the tv's, and in effect, they can't watch tv shows :p

They've had 3D plasma TV's at Cape Town International for a number of years already. The quality might not be the same, but it's definitely 3D without the need for glasses. Only works well if you look at it head on.
They have nothing special displayed on them, other than Telkom ads in 3D. Yay!

Anyone got some pics of these TVs? Keen to check them out
