When you finnish the test click on submit results. It will open a browser window. Then click on "Project Details". It should bring up a page where you can type a description. Tick the box named "Publish" and then click on update. When the page refreshes there will be a link like this one.

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=54017

Copy that and paste it here.

Also you have to register first for the free online results browser.

Ok, i have to run 3D mark again then, ill be back now.

Tell you nephew he will be wasting his money. The new nvidia cards are on the way and his card will be "out of date" in 2 months. Tell him to wait a bit and get the new 7900GT or whatever card for less with more performance.

Never buy the best of the best because you end up paying a HUGE PREMIUM for 2-5% performance increase.
Hi Angellus,

Funnily enough I said just that thing to him earlier today.
Wait for the 7900 Series.
But surely they will cost more than the current 7800GT which is quite expensive as it is?

Here is a snippet from The Register, on the 7900GTX.
Nvidia's 90nm G71 new high-end flagship graphics chip, possibly planned to ship as the GeForce 7900 GTX, will not launch until March according to moles in the industry.
According to the rumors, the chip will contain 32 pixel-processing pipelines in a core clocked at a hefty 700-750MHz. The GDDR 3 memory will run at 800-900MHz (1.6-1.8GHz, effective). The site's moles point out that the new part

The new part will deliver significantly better graphics performance than the GeForce 7800 GTX 512 - to match the older part's performance, the G71 would only need to be clocked to 430MHz, apparently. Nvidia is said to have begun sampling the G71, but it appears the part won't ship in boards until the launch, currently pegged for CeBIT, which runs from 9-15 March. That's the best part of two months after ATI is expected to announce its next-generation part, the R580.

Geez...I must be doing something wrong somewhere.

Athlon 62 X2 3800+

hehe starting to feel good about my score with my "puny" 6800GT@400Mhz :D

Actually...

I just installed the latest 81.98 drivers, and left everything at default settings, just with SLI enabled (Single GPU Rendering)

My score is 4993.

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=63934

It seems my original driver settings were rather detrimental :p

I'm going to enable 'Alternate Frame Rendering' now and see if it makes much difference.

Um Maybe you should publish the project so we can all see.

Oops, my bad. Only one project can be published at a time.

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=63934

With image quality set to 'high' - score 4910.
With image quality set to 'high' and enabling Alternate Frame Rendering - score is 4914.
Standard image quality - AFR enabled - score is 4932.

Seems there isn't that much difference between AFR and Single GPU Rendering.

Wow that is not so good, a single 7800GTX 512 scores 4642 so 4910 for SLI 7800GT's(correct me if I'm wrong) is not great at all

BTW your links dont work anymore

got 3618 @ 1280x1024 at default settings on a 7800GT GS running at stock.

expected worse....
