Has anyone tried and managed to get their 3G/HSDPA modem (Hauwei E220, for example) dialling using only the OSX network panel?
I tried it with a friend's Hauwei when I was in S.A. and could for the life of me not figure out how. The reason I'm interested, is I have another one (ZTE corp) that I got with a package from 3 - the card doesn't appear to be sim locked, but the dialer software does. If I can get the card configured to dial without the included software, I should be able to use it on other networks - like when I'm in S.A.
