Hi ya'll,
I have a Sahara Image Book laptop and a Hauwei E160 3G modem.
Both work well (but not with each other)
The modem works through other laptops (GConnect - Vodacom), I tried it on a friends and it worked wonderfully.
And I've just had my laptop Spring Cleaned by an IT professional and it's now clean and virus free.
I've spoken to Sahara and they said I needed to download the modem driver... DONE!!
Still no luck.
Once the modem is connected, the "Mobile Partner" asks to connect, then a "Dial" prompt comes up and a service ERROR 7777, that tells me the modem or device is out of order (which it's not because it works with other devices)
I spoke to GConnect, and they're clueless as to what the problem can be.
I can connect to wireless and my office connection on my laptop, but not to this modem / service.
Can anyone help me please?
I'M AT MY WITS END!!!
Cheers thanks a lot.

With a quick glance at google I think thats a programming error and not a RAS error. (ERROR 7777) Could you maybe post some more info please?

More info would be great!!!

What version of Windows are you using? Have you tried VMC? What version? Have you tried MDMA?

Maybe the modem and notebook are not compatible with each other? I've seen it before. Certain modems just don't work with certain makes and model notebooks. This was more an issue a while back.
