3G in Pinelands

We are not privy to the specific dates of completion or the meaning of status values.
However, we do know that this phase 2 roll out is schedule to be all complete and functional by end of Feb 2007.

I drove pasted Vincent Pallotti Hospital on the weekend and there was no 3G coverage. Must be a very small site because there is no 3G coverage in Pinelands either.

Hey Edinetz

U know what, surprisingly I only detected 3G for just a couple of days only. But I can confirm for sure that as from Last the 15th of December, 3G is available from Pinelands station/ Vincent Pallotti Hospital & Medscheme building!!!

I noticed that 3G coverage has improved in Cape Town and yes (Olde) Pinelands is now partially covered by 3G. I am not sure which site has been upgraded (Valkenberg?) because I pick up 3G at Vincent Pallotti and drag it to Howard Centre where it is so weak I end on back on GSM. The signal at Vincent Palotti is not very strong - only by Obs do I get decent signal strength but as I drive I continously loose the 3G network.

They must have been testing in November as I noticed a couple of weeks ago in Century City 3G coverage whilst at work but couldn't make a call. (not in Century City where coverage has been for a while)

I too was rather dissapointed when i saw that map on the website, vodacom had a really detailed one. MTN seems to be lagging behind in updating his transmission sites, i hope this will change soon, I`d really like to link up my laptop to my cellphone, but i still have no coverage here in little `ol Camps Bay.
