the 3gb or 60+60gb promo's are data bundles which you need to load on your sim card, so yes, as long as you have airtime, you can still make voice calls.

It will ONLY work in 8ta coverage area. Your sim will not be able to roam on MTN anymore. Ask me. I am learning the hard way!

Only one problem, where do I go to have it activated because we don't have an 8ta agent in town.

Customers can also purchase and RICA their SIMs from any of 8.ta’s channels then call 081180 or 081183 to convert to the pre-paid PSB Data Promo Rate plan first giving them access to the Once-Off Internet 60GB Promo bundle [plus 3GB].

Thanks for the info, unfortunately I see that I cannot make use of the promos since we don't have 3g 8ta coverage yet, oh well another nice deal I'm unable to make use of.

You can go to any Telkom store, Checkers, Shoprite, CNA, Edgars, PEP stores, Ackermans- Most dealers I think.

Just to confirm.

Changing your SIM to PSB Promo is an one-way action.
You will not be able to change it to another Tariff plan.
The PSB Promo only works on the 8ta network and cannot roam on MTN.
Therefore, you will only be able to make and receive calls, when you are in a covered area.
