3I/ATLAS thread

I have never stated that the probability of alien life is statistically close to 0. The probability is statistically close to 1, which means it is most likely a definite.
Then we are in agreement. :)
I have stated that the probability of intelligent life travelling the cosmos to arrive at planet Earth is close to 0
I will disagree. We're attempting to make the transition, but human biology is our biggest challenge. Then we have plenty examples of other bizarre life forms on earth. I'd give it a 50-50.

Btw:
Then of course, we do have other examples of non-intelligent life forms arriving on earth - just look at some of the mybb members :whistling:

How far can a human travel in a year?

Data, calculations and mapping. Our solar system is one of hundreds of billion others in The Milky Way galaxy.

Seeing that you know this, I presume you have examined the data, calculations and mapping. Could you please provide a link to your source?

Right. And how far will a human get in that year?
Actually, not very far. Our biology does not allow it. Even if somebody was the person traveling at a fraction of the speed of light, DNA etc would turn to mush due to interstellar particle and gas collisions.

Why would I need to examine the data? I'm not a scientist.

How do you think scientific community knows which direction 3I/Atlas comes from apart from data, calculations and mapping?

So you uncritically believe anything that fits your narrative?

I know how the determination of where comets comes from works. I want your source for this:

The Solar System and the unidentified plasma beings are attracted to EM radiation or light in the thermosphere.

Supply your source for the plasma beings attracted to EM radiation or light in the thermosphere.

Pure speculation. No evidence or proof. Just because it mentions NASA doesn't mean it is proof.

The rules of evidence require the person making the claim to present solid empirical evidence, not the person who questions the claim.

You cannot ask a person disputing your claim to provide evidence that your claim is false. You are required to provide evidence proving your claim is true.

You have yet to do so. Your claim is pure speculation. It's not even a hypothesis.

Can you at least explain why it's not a hypothesis?

Can you at least explain why it's not a hypothesis?

Because your speculation has no axioms, which are required for a hypothesis:

Axioms are required for a hypothesis because they serve as foundational truths or starting points that are accepted without proof, allowing for logical reasoning and the development of further arguments or theories. They provide the necessary framework from which hypotheses can be tested and proven.
