3x gtx295/TRI SLI MOBO...

The GTX295 struggles once you go over a resolution of 1920x1080 because it has less than 1GB of RAM. For gaming at high resolution 2xGTX295 is not going to perform as well as crossfired 5870s. In reviews I've seen, at 2500x1600 you get like 1fps in demanding games with the GTX295 while the 5870 crossfired allows you to still play at 30+ fps.
 
I believe that you can only put a maximum of 2 GTX295s in SLI. Other cards like the 285 can do TRI SLI
 
well putting 2 in sli actually means quad GPU's, so yah not sure its possible to run 6 GPU's in sli, but I may be wrong...
 
Afaik there arent any drivers that support 6 x Gpu
 
yeah dude dont pour so much cash into old architecture...

rather crossfire a pair of 5870s or wait for GT300 if u want nVidia.

That setup is a complete waste of money, and really, really overkill.

Unless you're getting 3 enormous monitors 1 295 would be enuff, but I still recommend you either go ati, or wait for new nvidia.

Don't pour a fortune into tech thats already becoming obsolete.
 
+1, tho even 1x 295 is fast, SLI is only useful if you game as massive resolutions and really require 4x AA in Crysis.

Rather spend money on one awesome graphics card or two slightly cheaper ones and get a bigger LCD.

Or just stick with your setup, get a 5850 and then you have LOTS of cash left for a GPU ugprade next year.

Just the PSU requirements alone is a dent in the wallet :eek:

Dunno the pricing prob between R6500 -R8500.

On your current sys (E5200) ill say a 4870 is already enough. As been said i7 the only way. You got a long way to go to use 3x 295 or even one 5870 GPU without bottlenecks.
