4850 with Accelero S1

Yes, saw something similar too. Too bad there's no one stocking this cooler locally.

Really!? That sucks, ..it seems to be widely regarded as one of, if not the, best VGA coolers...

Yes, AC 1 is really nice, good cooling capabilities and very quiet, and you can have a nice BBQ during weekend too:p

Some one was selling 2 of them in Systemshock a while back, around R500 each. I think we need to put pressure on the distributors to import this nice cooler.

If I had to import some of these ... how good would the demand be ... I could probably import 10 or so.

i reckon demand would be quite high.

the accelero was my first choice of cooling until I couldn't find it in South Africa... so I went with the VF1000 instead.

Ok, well I've e-mailed arctic cooling about supplier and importing procedures ... lets see if I can import their VGA coolers.

You know I would definitely take one.
R500 I think will be a fair price. As I saw someone imported 3 from USA and sold two for R500 each. Of course with the two original fans.

Now suddenly my budget that was 100% reserved for the 4870 is getting split up for the 4870, proper cooling for the 4870, a better PSU for the 4870(Only have a 460W at the moment :() etc etc for the 4870, so R500-ish seems fair. I'm a student, so the lower the price, the more fair it is :p. Then one still needs some proper thermal paste and then I need to bribe someone to do it for me. Thermal paste and coolers scare the Begeebers out of me :o

Wow, that's some effective cooling :)

I might know of someone else who'd want one, will have to check though ;)

I think you get free thermal paste with any decent aftermarket VGA cooler.

My 8800GT gets quite toasty, but until it starts physically affecting my PC experience I'm not shelling out for aftermarket cooling :D
