4MB ADSL - Here I come!

Could someone please tell me what the price difference is between 384 and 4mbit?

Just the line rental part.
 
now telkom tell me i have to wait 30 days for my line upgrade, afetr they had promised 3-7 days at most.
i'm so *&^% off right now!
 
Yesterday when I got home my line was upgrade to 4MB as I requested, but GrabIt was maxing at 51.8KB. I know that they said they do not guarantee the whole 4meg, but should it be that low? Even this morning when I left for work, it was still 51.8; that's not even 1meg ryt?

Seems like Telkom is messing with me here. I would be really mad if they took me up to 512. There was really no joy last night, had to wait for Youtube to buffer. What should I do, call them again?
 
My YouTube now buffers faster than it plays and my Grabit downloads were hitting 400kb/s constantly last night.... you might have a problem somewhere... go to www.speedtest.net and run a test to a south african server and then post a link to the results here - it should look similiar to this one on my line:
 
Wow, this is all I can get. I tried a few times but I'm always on that range. . I'm calling Telkom now.

Looks like you are still on 384 - have you rebooted your ADSL router? It might need to re-sync. Then when you login to the router, check what the sync speed is.
 
If I upgrade tomorrow, will I have to pay for the 1Gb of 384 I've already used, or will they just deduct it from my new 5Gb cap?

You will pay for what you have already used, but on the new package you will be ordering they will do a "Pro Rata".
