Hey there guys i need some advice.
Well i was paying the phonebill online today iv noticed that on our average phone billl is +- R1000. Now the only person in my family talks on phone alot is my mom. She will literally call my aunt 3 times a day and talk for atleast an hour.

Im currently on 384k DSL and want to upgrade to 4mbit will there be a significent increase in the phonebill? Is there any package that we could get so my mom can talk about interior decor for hours at a cheaper rate :P

The R250 doesnt seem much but the whole point of us getting ADSL was to keep the phonebill under a grand. In the good ol dial-up days our phone bill was also +- R1300.
I want to know if there is any other service that telkom offers that would allow us to get 4mbit and still keep the phone bill to about a grand. You know how offended women get when u tell the they talk too much on the phone
 
Have a look at the closer packages, you can get 1000 minutes a month, free calls after 7 etc.
 
does you mom call telkom to telkom? otherwise those free minutes count for nothing.
 
yep, those free minutes and free calls dont apply to cellphones or international or neotel numbers
 
Yep its Telkom to Telkom.
If my calculations are correct it should still be around a grand a month if i want the 4mbit offer but with the 384k offer i should save like R200 to R300

Line Rental: R98
Plan 5: R651
Telkom 3gig acc: R200
Total = R949

Im not sure if those offers are even inclusive of VAT or not
