Telkom better than openweb gold? ....
Sounds like the jam I am after, cause on Mweb 4mb uncapped, anything in the evenings after 5pm seems impossible.

Never used Openweb but never had a problem with Telkom ISP and no throttling and Openweb Gold is way more if you looking for the cheapest option.
so its R699 or over R1000 for uncapped

I'm also moving from Mweb 2Mbps Uncapped to Gamers King (Downloaders Bling) 10Mbps uncapped.
I moved to Axxess in April from Mweb - this month I've done about 150Gb of nntp, http and p2p traffic. Not once have I been throttled/shaped at any time of day or night - running 4mpbs uncapped. That said my line this month has been with Telkom and I've just moved it over to Axxess so we'll see what happens next month...

R425 I think is the line rental price now and R274 for the 4 meg uncapped.
Although its only the first month then back to full price

I believe the price stays the same, otherwise its false advertising, plus, this is a mix bundle like some Standard uncapped features with Gold uncapped etc.
Aaaaand I'm being managed...
VPN gets around this though, but I hit 230gb before being managed. OK bye bye Axxess next month - will give Openweb a try.

Have you looked at the unshaped packages from Asfrihost? You can see the prices here. Before you shoot me sown and say the 4MB is more expensive I would ask you the question do you want that speed because you believe you will get more down?
I run a 1MB at home with 4 adults active and have been delighted with the performance and the responsiveness.

I got a 4meg line+uncapped bundle from Afrihost. It's R697 per month excl voice line rental.
Shaping isn't bad, think I've been shaped twice this month for a few hours at a time. But then again they give you free turbo boost minutes which 'unshape' your line.

I'll let you know how OpenWeb is by mid/end of June, since i'm using 10Mbps line with them, from June I'll try see when they "Manage" me? If they do...
