Haha, a rose you say? Freakky :p I always thought of telscum employees as being daisies in the meadows, rain drops on a hot summers day, but a rose? Never! Seriaaas? ;) :D :p
 
so if i upgrade to 8mb i might get close to 1mb? Telkom = FAIL

I reported a fault with telkom and got a ticket number, they will investigate...

I now have an amazing 8kbps upload speed :D
 
eh? 2.8megabytes/second would equate to a connection speed of more than 22megabits/second!

22megabits is not possible on standard ADSL lines and you wouldn't in all likelyhood be able to even get that kinda speed on a ADSL2+ line

You sure that isn't some kind of Intranet speed?

And are you talking about Mb or MB? As mentioned earlier, 2.8MB/s doesn't equate to an 8Mb/s line.
 
What Highflyer_GP said... You shouldn't be getting more than about 850KB/s off an 8Mbit line. Must be some kind of compression or caching involved, or resuming a file (or just starting the download) so the download app doesn't have enough data to work out an accurate ETA etc.
 
WTF is this BS, first the oke claims 1.6GB in 4 mins downloading 2.8MB/s on flashget (which would actually have to be going at 6.85MB/s) then he claims that is from a LOCAL torrent... right, sooo there had to be 34 other users giving him 200KB/s each, RIGHT okay, HAHAHAHAHAHA WTF MAN. to get 1.6GB down in 4 mins you need a 54 mbit connection. Sorry for you but I would guess someone sharing the torrent was on your local network

I got the same problem !!!!!!! Upgraded customers lines to 4MB, both routers syncing at 4096 and 384up but speed has not increased from the original 512kbps....WTF
 
Got the same problem...upgraded my cutomers lines to 4MB. Syncing at 4096 but still no speed increase from the original 512Kbps....what is going on here ?
 
Yeh, I've also hear that sync up to 8Mbps was coming, but it will be a case of if you can spit at the exchange from your house your in luck, otherwise tough.
 
i have a 4mb line, its like having a cannon shooting 9mm rounds BECAUSE OF MY EFFFFFIN CAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111oneone
