4x4 Fun

Issue with bakkies is the long wheel base and therefore the centre angle underneath the vehicle. Saw a few bakkies scrape their bottoms quite badly on Sunday...

Any longwheelbase vehicle has that problem. They also have problems (compared to SWB) on tight turns.

The Wrangler actually has a very poor turning circle. Made the momentum test pretty difficult as you couldn't stop for tight corners...

And SWB vehicles feel hellishly scary on short steep climbs..

As for LWB, its why mine has raised suspension.

I agree with SWB's being scary on steep hills... that's the one thing where LWB's rule.

At the end of the day both have their pros and cons.

Hmmm, haven't been there yet...

For a Jhb person, its not worth the 6 hour drive tbh, but if you live in the Durban area and have yourself a 4x4, its worth it in spades... take charcoal, bit of meat, go for a drive, have a braai, go for another drive then go home....

No, it was explained that ABS kicks in, which I believe the traction control uses...

No, you are talking about Traction Control, which uses the ABS system to function.

If you pumped more juice and the ABS kicked in, you would find yourself in a very undriveable vehicle ;)

You guys should find a sand play area, lots of fun, esp when SWAMBO shows the n00bs how it's done:
