5 gig bundle not working (ECN Capability) [solved]

Sorted yet?

Made some progress. Poor bloody CellC call guy, had to deal with me for about three hours over the course of the day.

Signal where my PC is, is not too good - Need to find a way to boost it.

Friend brought a laptop and we were able to connect in various places at around 3 meg speeds, which is not quite there yet (rep said I should get between 4 and 11) but is not too bad.

The reason I cannot surf any site other than CellC has something to do with my operating system as it worked fine on my friends PC, will try and bloody figure out over the next few days.

As said, the only big issue now is the signal strength.

My dealings with CellC today were very good, very polite, professional and they did what they could to help. I am impressed and confident this will get sorted out.

What OS are you using Copa & what AV?
Came across this today, maybe have look - http://www.telusmobility.com/en/BC/huawei_e182e_sup/trouble04.shtml

Win 7 64 and Eset. I've fiddled with any firewall/AV/connection/Proxy setting I could possibly think of.

I really ****ed with my windows install to get good audio recording performance, so I reckon I'll just bite the bullet and reinstall and see. I am confident I can sort the OS issues out easily enough, it's really the signal strength I am concerned about at this point.

Ok i'm same (Win7 64bit) & AV(Eset smart security)& i don't have issues.
With the signal carry on i had disconnect problems until i got my antenna pointing the right way and got below -90dBi...then it fly's & stays connected fine.

Problem was solved by disabling 'ECN Capability' which had been set by a program called 'TCP Optimizer'. See here.
