It was available then removed not too long after for contract customers. Honestly, no trouble having a prepaid sim and topping up as needed :D .

There are various posts about members calling the Telkom call centre and requesting a 500GB bundle to be added to their uncapped wireless package. However, this is on an ad hoc basis. What I'd love to know is if anyone has used the call centre to add a recurring 500GB bundle to their uncapped wireless package?
 
Is this 500gb promo still available? I cant seem to locate it using the USSD telkom mobile menu (*180#).

Any ideas?

Yes, I initially did via either the call center or chat, mine is not ad-hoc and is added on to my monthly bill.

No it cannot be recurring on uncapped wireless

I called in on the 1st requested recurring(apparently loaded)

Checked balance no recurring

Called in on the 2nd

Was told that the previous order was loaded and pending but she thinks that this cannot be recurring on a uncapped package.

So she activated it I then got the SMS that it was done.

Small price to pay for R500 gig more than happy to call in monthly, best bang for buck and brilliant speeds.

If I'm understanding your post above, you tried getting a recurring bundle loaded, but was probably not successful. However, when you called in the 2nd time, a monthly, non-recurring 500GB bundle was activated. You then phone in every month (ideally on the 1st of every month) to add on a 500GB bundle on your uncapped wireless package.

Is my understanding correct?

I'm currently on the 20Gig + 20Gig month contract. Please note that not all Telkom customer service staff are competent to assist their customers. I phoned today and spoke to a lady for about 15 minutes and she put me on hold 3 times to check if she could load the R50.00 500Gig night surfer data but with no success. She told me that it could not be done on a contract, only on prepaid. I then thought I'll leave it there but I phone the call centre again and another person helped and within 2 minutes it was done. He loaded the 500Gig and I'm sorted. The R50.00 will be put on my monthly bill. I'll check tonight if it was indeed loaded or not. I'll also check the download speeds.

So it can be done on a capped data contract deal.

How are the downloads coming along I have ran out of things to download. I plan to stay up tonight, watch few videos on YouTube.
