500 GB

i just tried *123# on my telkom contract

i get

2.5gb data R109
4.5GB TM data R109
250 all network mins R109
350 all network mins R127

So different times or contracts get different options

Its going to a CF to put sim into phone every day to see what data bundles are available. Just for interest sake: tp-link mifi devices has USSD but it only works on 3G and even then *123# does not work.

My problem as well, read the terms and conditions and you'll only be able to check deals using the ussd *123#. So it's sim out and back in for as well. And because we don't know when it changes, might be on the hour when I get home from work.

They could've atleast have given us an idea regarding time-frames for the deals?

It went from perfectly simple to no'dice in a matter of 1 retard

The 500G method was very simple and more predictable. This No' Nice stuff is just ridiculous, our data sims live in routers not in cellphones. Too much admin for unpredictable "deals" that disappear by the minute

What's the use of those data while some of us we not in the 3g coverage area? Also why Telkom did if u change your tarrif plan to smart road band u can't change it back to SIM Sonke but wen u change it to SIM Sonke that's were u cn change ur tarrif it doesn't make sense at all Telkom try to fix this issue coz if you moved to this smart broadband no more extra airtime so it's not ayoba Telkom fix this.

Description doesn't stop one from using it for anything

Certainly but we are talking about multi bay systems with most likely some form of raid for protection from disk failure. You do get dual enclosures that allow a person to either mirror or stripe but a single bay has no redundancy. Ask anyone who's lost a external with data on it, be it movies, series, home vids, images, games anything. Very painful experience.

Agree, with 8TB sitting on the drive you'd certainly need to make arrangements for backing that stuff up. 8TB is a lot you'd def feel it, so that drive could just be a starting point for MASSIVE storage, seeing some people are using multiple little drives. You then need to make backup plans for that primary storage
