500 GB

I'm really SAD I have done everything possible I can think of, downloaded movies top quality 1080p I watched YouTube videos etc. But still left with 475200 MB.

Yify1080 is not 1080

It is 1080p. Majority of films released today are 2.4:1 which end up at around 1920x800 for "1080p" because the film was shot at a very wide angle much wider than consumer TV's. A 16:9 (or 1.78:1) video will fill your whole HDTV without "black bars" and be the actual 1920x1080p/720p/480p res, lots of animated films and TV shows use this almost exclusively.

That said YIFY has improved since last I seen it and is perfectly watchable from a good distance or on smaller screens. Small size equals a low bitrate so that's the sacrifice that's made. If they switched to x265 it would look much better at the same size.

EDIT: I definitely agree that yify is not "top quality" at all and Youtube's 1080p is not much better either.

Where can I download good quality 4k movies? Some torrent sides do have but its not true 4k movies, most is upscaled from normal HD movies. I have so much of my 500Gig data left over I'm thinking of downloading 4k movies.

I think Telkom should start selling harddrives bundled with this deal...I'm seriously running out of hdd space trying to use up the 500gigs every month

Have any of you started a Youtube channel yet using this bundle to stream :-) ??? I think it is a perfect way to get your foot off the ground especially if you enjoy playing something alike to LoL/PUBG/Fortnite/Paladins or any other game. I think even if you start off with no commentary that you can make it over time.

My thinking is if Telkom sees this, they could tailor make someday a "streamer bundle" and give you data for during the day ;) or heck even sponsor you.

I myself would want to download the internets but right now that is not possible. I would want to give the above a try but keen to hear if any of you will do so or have been doing it xD.

Upload remember guys is upto 25Mbps, more than enough depending on your system specs / console system to stream 720p60 or even 1080p60 :)

C'mon, i encourage you guys to try something different. Leave the downloading for another time :o .

**This is THE best alternative to those of us who may not see Fibre in their neighbourhood anytime soon / because ADSL is just not enough for streaming or simply for cost reasons. Whatever it is, Telkom may just have unlocked something no other provider in the mobile space has. ^_^

tl;dr
Don't only download, stream your gameplay with popular games or not so popular ones and post your channel here. Grow the SA Gamer community with 720p60 or higher quality streams. :-D . Let's unite with our fellow VDSL/LTE-A/Fibre friends. ;)

Luckily I have the Xtreamer pro with 2 hard drive slots. 1 x 2TB + 1 X 3TB in one media player. Plus an External hard drive with another 2TB. In total I have 7TB to play with. This excludes my 3TB in my PC. That's why I'm looking at getting some 4K movies.

See some things are just a much better experience in HD. Planet Earth being of them. There's no benefit watching some drama/thriller @ great quality. The experience for me is the same with a lowly 1000kbps 720p rip. I will still download movies I REALLY like at a high bitrate 1080p. Good thing there's only about 3 really good movies per year so I save some space.

Yes, with 4k movies you need allot of hard drive space. some 4k movies are up to 80Gig big. You're average size would be around 50Gig size I think. But I downloaded Man of steel 4k 2160p movie 11Gig size, so this not a true high quality 4k movie. The quality seems to be okay.

Where can I get good quality WEBrip movies?

With regards to the quality of yify movies, The file size/compression format is proportionate to the quality of the movie I guess. I reckon YIFY rips would look better if they changed to MKV , MP4 is ****e but compatible most media players known to man.

It would look exactly the same, MKV is just the container, not the codec.

Surprise surprise, an SEO who hasn't managed to implement the vat changes... Now we cant purchase telkom mobile data bundles online via telkoms portal or via internet banking. Fun times!
I was able to purchase a 500 GB bundle this morning using the android app.

Now the call center says the 500GB is no longer available...anyone can confirm this? Called in twice and 2 different agents mentioned the same thing
