500mbps line videos buffering?

Hi guys,

Hope everyone is well.

I really need some help here.

I recently got a 500mbps line from RSAweb. Everything has been really good.

Except for the fact that when I try and stream or watch Facebook and Instagram I cannot watch something for more than 5 seconds wothout it buffering.

I have never had this issue. EVERYTHING else is running smooth on multiple devices inc Netflix, Showmax, DSTV, and Youtube.

Even when running a LAN cable directly into my pc I cannot watch Facebook and Instagram videos.

I am using the RSAweb router that was provided. I have 2.4ghz and 5.0ghz networks running.

PS: whencrunning a speedtest I am getting 500mbps down and 250mbps up.

It’s driving me insane.

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have hardware acceleration enabled in your browser, if you switch this off and see if it improves?

Sounds like a Facebook network/hosting issue.

I though it might be this, but when I go on to my LTE there are no issues.

So RSAweb crashed across SA for a few hours. But, once they reset or fixed Whatever the issue was, the issues that I was having were sorted.

Issue was def from RSAweb side.

Im on RSA web (200mb) and had problems streaming Netflix on my TV over the weekend other devices were fine.
