GSA confirms 7.2 Mbps as new baseline for HSPA; future peak rates of 84 Mbps expected

I've already upgraded the firmware on my MTN modem. Been running at 7.2, and surprisingly, the response / refresh is improved.

Very sad indeed. Though I'd be happy with our current 4meg ADSL if the cap was higher...

Yeah, and if only you got 4Mbps all the time...in my area the service is so over sold, it hardly ever passes 2 Mbps

I just recently got a E180 modem, and even though it says it is connected at 7.2, is doesnt run at that. The fastest speed i got on it was last night, dling an update at 5.9Mbps, still much faster than ADSL.

Its just sad to spend 20% of monthly cap in under 10 mins

lol he is MTN Staff so it is a privelage that he has he gets 3 sim cards. 1 for wifee 1 for him and 1 for data but sim cant leave house cos they monitor where it is

I love HSDPA 7.2 but I hate the price of the data...
