7600GS vs 7600GT vs 7900GS

wow at that price i might by another 7900gt.
how do they do in SLI?

I bet u my radeon x800xt 256 plat screencard will be on the same level as that cards also has gdd3 tech and myne still the old agp8

runs games today still everythinh on high graphics and it's almost 2 years old

But how much did it cost you? And, you have a nice card, a much better card than those 5000 series cards...

That PC Internationals GT is like so cheap!
 
All the prices on that page are extraordinarily cheap. The Core 2 Duo E6300 is like R200 cheaper than anywhere else. Notice that the prices exclude VAT, but everything is still very cheap. I smell something fishy...

Cant vouch for the video card, but I've bought 2 sticks of memory from them, and havent had problems. They are a retail store, so if your in JHB just go there & check them out.

Maybe they import the graphics cards directly themselves from Taiwan, the markup by the other suppliers are huge, especially Rectron...

Nah I would only trust toms chart and GPU review for 40~50% of my purchasing choices. 3DM05 and 06 don't tell you anything really in how games will perform. Classic example 3DM05 score of X1650XT is about 2K points higher than 7600GT. Yet 7600GT is slightly faster in 3DM06, but both are about equal in game performance. Come to think of it, Tom's chart is rubbish.

There's no way a single 7800GTX gets the same frame rate as a 8800GTX in HL-2 Episode one. And we know it's not CPU limitation because the Radeon cards score even higher.
 
I buy stuff from pcint often. They are good, honour the warantees and are generally very helpful. They parallel import AFAIK, so prices are always excellent. And no, I don't work for them.

That was at 1024*768 and no one in their right minds would play at such a low resolution with a 8800, compare the 2 cards at 1600*1200 or even 1280*1024 and then see the 8800 shine :)
