8800 GT, Worth It, Heat Issues ?

Hi

My Asus 8800GT idles at around 55 - 62 degrees and after about 3hours of Crysis (on highest settings) is at about 80 degrees (highest I've seen was 84 degrees).

Is the 80-84 degrees normal or should I look to increase cooling? My Asus Vento 7700 isn't the most ventilated chassis around :(

What kind of cases and cooling for the case do you guys use? like is it say an average case and cooling or are these like extreme thermaltake cooled cases? :p
 
I have no extra cooling, just the standard stock case fans...like I said I have an ASUS Vento 7700 - Only have x2 80mm fans at back, x1 80mm fan in front and an air vent in the side...

Are the temps I've posted above to high and should I think about extra cooling?
 
well from what I've read in reviews that card seems to have a reputation of hitting the 90-100 degree margin so id say you're doing well :)

Linux has something called Logical Volume Management(?) (LVM). So if you do a search for that and windows equivalent it might come up with something.
