Is this thing worth buying or will it do the same job as my pringles tube? I gotta get my signal strength up so if this will give me and extra 20% or more then I'll definitely buy it. Any suggestions to increase my strength will also help[:)].

In my opinion..NO! Stick with the Pringles.

Pringles much better

The patch is really if you need to put the antenna a meter or 2 away from the modem to get signal, you will see almost no gain over the normal modem antenna

The pringles tin works very well

that sux then. I was hoping it would up my signal. With the pringles tube and all 4 lights lit up I get about 17% signal which is not nearly enough. What if I put the antenna on the front of a dstv dish, anyone try that yet?

Most patch antenna have 10dB loss in their cable and connectors so you end up with a gain of -2dB [:D]

the pringles can is a nice little science project

be professional and get a patch it looks more respectable and works well

If you got a spare dish lying around, you can pick up a yagi 4 R200 at Poynting , that will mount in place of your dish LNB, worked miracles for me, just beware the price of cablinng
