8ta 3gb Data Problem

Got my new Ipad from FNB on Friday. Decided that 8ta's 3gb prepaid deal is the best way to go. Went in to Telkom Centurion on Sunday. Got the sim + rica. Inserted sim into Ipad. Got the following error: "Could not activate cellular data network - PDP authentication failure". Tried the call centre, but the lady there could not help me. Went back to Telkom in Centurion. The sales person phoned the call centre and they said it is a network problem. The sales person phoned again. This time we had to register on 8ta's website. Still waiting for my iPad. I'm loosing can't wait any more I wonder if there's a way to followup
 
I'm having the same issue! Got my 8ta SIM on Saturday, but from the Sandton iStore. Have you had a resolution to the problem yet?
 
I'm also having the same problem.

I get Packet Data: Authentication Failed

Bought the SIM on Saturday and has yet to work!

Called the Call Center 4 times, on the 4th time the guy tells me that they are aware of the problems with the 3GB promotion.

I have to be honest, between the people working in the 8ta shop and the call center, they really need to work on their customer service as it really does suck! (in my opinion)

Similar problem :

Saturday : Purchased 8ta 3G promo with e367 :

Problem 1 - Could not load R149 promo at Telkom Direct (they wrote down the wrong number, so got 3 X R50 vouchers - it was at a Telkom Direct that can enable the 3G promo, sans call centre intervention - according to the website).

Problem 2 - Could not connect after everything set up (verified physical installation with vodacom SIM - works)

Phoned data call center - after a extended wait got a reference number - "Technical problem was the answer, technicain needs to resolve it"

Sunday : No resolution

Monday (Afternoon) : noticed that MTN roaming was now restricted - still no feedback from call centre

Problem 3 : now connects and immidiately disconnnects (previously it would not even connect, I assume my bundle - verified through the dashboard USSD *188# is not now not reflecting on the system)

Tuesday : If it still does not work I will bin the sim and reflect on my moment of weakness to actually believe that they could actually get something right !! - at least I did not commit to the 2Year Internet 5 Promo
 
I'm also getting the immediate connect and disconnect now! Its a step in the right direction though :)

I bought this so I could have internet between saturday and the start of november, as my Cell C 5GB had run out! Oh well guess ill have 8GB in november lol...
 
Technically they should extend all bundles for another month - as it only will only start in November (unless they fix it as 23H59 tonight) as you should get the month the bundle starts in plus one month.

True, Mine is working this morning. I don't know if it was working before midnight though! Oh well just glad its fixed..
