So Awesome I decide to open up a new mobile contract to get used by an employee, a Contract 3 Plus which comes with a Blackberry Torch for R409.00 per month. Thats early December. I pay the setup cost of R199 in store and get the phone. The terms of the contract are this:
1. R409 subscription per month for the phone, which had BIS bundled into the contract. NO VAS at all!!! (Note)
2. We asked them to run the debit order on the 15th of of every month, which they duly agreed to. (Note)
3. We asked them to put a call limit softlock on the device as we didn't want our employee racking up a million rand phone bill. Which they activated.
Today on the 1st of February we get a *beep beep* saying lo and behold a R710.00 debit order has been processed by 8ta! Ok shocked face:wtf:, i check the date and its the first, or i would have got a huge tongue lashing from my woman for forgetting Valentines Day "yesterday" *sarcasm*, ok ok its the first, why is 8ta running a debit order today of all days? we call 8ta, and no answer, i get super peeved and open up a Hello Peter complaint. Ok sorted!!!
Around 5pm when i'm about to knock off we get a call from a Lizelle and with great confidence claims now that the contract we signed up to is "actually" worth R510, then they charged another R100+ on BIS (a R60 bloody service mind you, that was stated to be included in the sub cost when we signed up) then the rest is because the phone wasn't softlocked and "our employee went over her limits.:wtf:
I hope you just read that clearly... So basically the contract that was listed as is, is now more, BIS is more and not included as stated in their initial contract terms, our debit order which ran on the 15th last month now runs on the 1st and on top of that they have the nerver to accuse us of running over a softlock which they SHOULD have activated. Its bad enough we have to deal with that pathetic website which you can't view ANYTHING account related, now also various factors that just scream gross incompetence on their part! Can someone advice on the CPA act to cancel a contract, especially under such circumstances. I run a bloody business, I can't be having unnecessary bills and debt orders when i had place by own terms already, which 8ta clearly won't abide by!
