8ta Chat Now – BETA

8ta has just launched its brand new Beta service called 8ta Chat Now.

This service allows you to open a chat box between an agent and yourself in real time. So, instead of picking up the phone and calling a call centre, you now have the option to setup a chat session and have an agent assist you.

To access the Beta service please navigate to our webpage (www.8ta.com) and click on the Chat Now link situated on the top.

Be advised though that this this service is in BETA, so please provide your feedback/input on the service.

OT but I was rather impressed by 8ta's service. My sim card seems to have overheated or something, and it wasn't working anymore. Called call center, picked up first ring and gave me the info I needed (can go to any 8ta/telkom store and get a new sim for R35). Went to Telkom/8ta store, no queue, paid my R35 and got a new sim swapped there and then, plugged modem back in at home and everything 100%. Must say while I was there the (Greenstone) store was pumping and there were also great when 8ta had the big cellphone special a few months ago.

Just gave it a try by asking some questions (to which I knew answers)... Works like a charm... Thanks Bonisile for a lovely chat, next time I will ask for her number, then she will be visiting me, then there will be three of us
