8ta Coverage stops at my doorstep

I have an 8.ta Sim and one universal 3G USB dongle which works with 8.ta CellC and...
after I moved to a new house I dont have coverage anymore but when i move outside the house (5 meter away from my desk) i can pick up signal and connect to internet.
now I see two solutions:
1. Buy an active usb cable which goes about 5 meter.
2. Buy a wireless router and stick the dongle to it.

then I have to put either of those in the yard.
NOW QUESTINS:
1. does anyone has a better way to do this?
2. Is there anyway to boost the 8.ta signal somehow?
3. what is the best modem for sharing my 3G connection via wireless?

do u perhaps know anyone with an external antenna for the 3g device those Poynting types
 
No, I dont know aand after a small research I found out they cost around R1,200. it would be safer to buy the wireless router! at least i could use it for other purposes as well!

any advice on choosing the right wireless router? (obviously with usb port!)
 
Seems the cheapest option is an extended USB cable, a few options but no guarantee any will work .

If you click the link for each product it will give the description, the router is the TP-LINK MR3420 3G WIRELESS N ROUTER. It doesnt come with a dongle but it has a usb port where u will be able to put in most of the popular 3g dongles available.

Terrible booster antenna.
I bought one about 7 months ago, not once has it given any sort of improvement.
Used MDMA and it indicated no change in signal.

Turned that stupid antenna for hours trying to get it right but no luck.

The router is pretty crap too, it always needs to be reset!

Stay away from TP-Link till they get it right!
