Hi,

Does anyone know how to fix the problem of the 8ta version of the Huwei E1820 modem with the 8ta 10g special from trying to connect to the wrong cell tower?

The 8ta connect app is useless, it shows 70-80% signal, connects and then there is no internet access. When I load up MDMA i see its connecting to RNC ID of 2. Not the RNC ID of 202 (which I assume is 8ta's network).

Is there anyway to avoid it connecting to the wrong cell towers and force it to only connect to the 8ta ones since this product is only usable on the 8ta network?

My second problem is that the signal is not the greatest, so I'm going to get a LDPA high gain antenna to improve my signal, however for that I need a 3g router that can work with the 8ta network. Does anyone know of any routers that can work with the E1820 and 8ta?

If you go to the Cell C section, you'll see that TP-LINK MR3420 router comes highly recommended to work with the E1820.
