8ta gaming experience?

Trying to find a good wireless option which will perform nicely in MW3 / BF3 / LoL and such.

Anyone with 8ta gaming experience here who can give me some advice?

Also considering iBurst, my short experience with it wasn't bad at all, but I've heard a lot of bad things about it.

And coverage is not a problem, I live in Hatfield

I have both the Cell C 5GB a month and 8ta 10 GB a month contracts. First off I must say that my 8ta coverage is not spectacular (+-40%), and Cell C coverage is decent (+- 90%). Playing BF3 on Cell C while not always ideal (sometimes a bit laggy, seemingly more often when there is some weather around), is mostly great. 8ta from my experience is laggy more often than not, but I would guess that the packet loss due to the much lower signal strength is most likely the problem.

I'm playing BF3 on 8ta Internet 5 with pretty much no problems at all. Last night I had some crappy latency, but I literally just reconnected and then got good frags up to 01h00 this morning. And this is with my E220 where I'm getting 147ms pings. On my E372 I've been getting 50-60ms pings at 9mbps which is awesome for gaming. If you have an ADSL option obviously that would be the way to go, but in my situation, it doesn't get any better than my 8ta...

It doesn't need to be very expensive E372. Any modem HSPA+ compatible should the same result - improving ping times -due to quicker wake up. The cheapest modem HSPA+ is E367 R699 @8ta.

I bought the 10Gig + 10Gig for R299 per month. I also got the E367 21Mbps modem (with extended aerial with 98% signal). I got superb download speeds (5Mbps - 7Mbps, sometimes slightly slower). We bought it for the kids to play online Xbox. We have had it for 3 months now. A couple of nights ago the kids realised they are having a lot of lagg when playing. Last night I checked the download speeds. 38Kbps - 68Kbps. WTF!!!! Have they over sold their data???? Am I now going to end up paying for 2 years for this crap??? Is this how they lure people in and then throttle the lines like everybody else?? Only one kid can now play in the evening at one time where before all 3 could play at the same time. This sux. To everybody out there thinking of getting this, DON'T. It is fast in the beginning and then your line gets throttled to nothing. READ THE 8ta FORUMS AND SEE HOW MANY PEOPLE WITH 10 Gig ARE COMPLAINING. 21Mbps MODEM - 38Kbps download speed. BE WARNED.........
