I recently signed up for the 8ta contract and I absolutely love it. Something that I do not understand and hopefully you will be able to assist me with is that whenever my 8ta stick is in my computer when I turn my computer on it does not boot Windows 7. It goes pass the BIOS and then just a little hypen or underscore flickers. When I remove my 8ta stick and start my computer again there is no problem.

I am really happy with the contract and it really does not bother me that much to remove and insert the stick the whole time but if this can be avoided it would be great. :D

Thank you.

You probably have your BIOS set to boot from an USB device before booting from the hard disk.

Check your boot options in the BIOS.

+1 like Jola says get the HDD to the top of the boot list

I tried doing this but I think I might need help from you guys.

I pressed delete and went into BIOS.

1st boot device = ST3250310AS (I am pretty sure that is my HDD)

The Huawei modem was not above anything and wasn't listed as a boot device. Restarted pc again and pressed F11 for boot menu and booted from ST3250310 with the modem in my computer and still didn't want to boot.

HL-DT-STDVD-RAM GSA-HSSL is probably my DVD-ROM? The HDD is at the top of the list.

I had an external harddrive that used to do this - try turning USB legacy off in the Bios & see it that stops it
