Hey guys,

I'm looking to replace my 6950 HD with a 960 GTX next month and am wondering about the size of 960.
I've done a bit of reading and users say its pretty large, is it much bigger than my current 6950?

Additionally is it a good move to replace the 6950 with a 960? I was looking at the 950 but I can get the 960 for around 3k and a 950 for around 2k.

Cheers!

960 itself is small ,but most company's sticked big coolers on the 960 to offer better overclocking and temps.

I think it should fit without any issues ,most 960s are the same size as the 6950. Just make sure you get 960 with only 2 fans ,cards like the g1 gaming 960 is huge!

I just had a look at your site and might end of buying from you, prices are very reasonable!
Wanting to buy it end of October, would you recommend the ASUS Strix GTX960 DC2OC 2GB GDDR5?

Asus card is awesome ,not sure if I will ever stock 960s again.

The sales was terrible on the 960s ,no one wanted a 128bit card. Now with the dollar being so high they will cost even more :(

End of the day I sold my 960s at zero profit . Current price on the asus is R3600.

Drats, thanks though :) heading over to the states in 2 weeks and will likely pick up one there.

Unless theres a similar card you can recommend in the same price range.

Nothing at this stage ,you will have to go 2nd hand then :(

The best 2nd hand card in that range is the R9 290 ,really is a awesome card for the price!

They vary in size between brands/models, best to check the actual cards specs.

The problem is the Galax came out at R3000, no one wanted a GTX 960 at bigger price than that.
Why pay R600 for a card that performs basically the same?

Unfortunately nothing can be done about it, the Rand/Dollar is simply :(

By no cc I mean they don't accept cc which is odd.I popped them a mail as I was having some issues with finding their std bank company profile.

Not really, due to fraud many companies will only do EFTs and I don't blame them.
