A laptop powered by an iPhone

I even saw a kickstarter a while ago on a similar idea with Android devices I think...
 
Nobody said someone else didn't do something like this before, it's a smart move by Apple to patent this though.
Yes knowing them they will make it sound like they are the first company doing this type thing if they ever bring it to market that's clever Apple marketing for you, but to be fair, knowing them they will be the first company to do it properly and take it mainstream.

Besides this does not make sense. What if your iPhone is stolen, or breaks, and your new iPhone won't fit into the dock?

Nah, I'll rather have a proper laptop that doesn't need to dock with anything.
 
If you're taking a laptop sized thing with you anyway, why not just take a laptop.
