you can save the page as "web page complete" but it's not going to really fix links between pages and may mess up some of the formatting. html isn't really designed to run offline/outside of a webserver.
powerpoint is probably your best bet for an offline presentation.
Agreed but a lot of people are under the impression that HTML is supposed to be the successor of Flash but it's only really a couple of it's features.
perhaps you mean "so many of their thrid party apps are flash based". everything which is facebook runs entirely off html except for the their video playback and multiple file uploader.
i don't think they're about to put a lid on third party flash apps which have proven to be extremely successful.
Yes, sorry I meant their 3rd party apps but if you look at the likes of Farmville etc they make up a large percentage of users.
